I don't bother saving contacts I don't plan to really talk to much so I probably have around 18 contacts in my phone. My wife. My dad. My brother. My best friends. My kid's friend's parents. Work. A few others. I'm currently planning a Halloween block party by text with 23 different numbers because I don't have and never had Facebook and we need to keep each other in the loop. I haven't bothered to save a single number. I just get who's who by context clues. I have no reason to save them since, outside of the occasional "want me to take that Amazon package in for you?/could you take an Amazon package in for me?" message, I only text these people between August and October every year.
Guess I'm a murderous sociopath, too, lmao

I actually just kind of got it, they create a system where no on is having kids, so the young workers can't support the older population. In order to survive they literally HAVE to do mass immigration just to support the society.
Anonymous No.5958410 [Report] >>5958421
>>5958405
No, they have robotics in development for elderly care. Korea has one that got FDA approval for trial in the US this year as an example. The thought is that advanced nations that have a shrinking population but a strong education system and invested in future technologies will have a much easier time transitioning to a new world driven by robotics and AI that will help reduce the need for manual and much of Human labor. This way these countries like Korea/Japan/etc who don't want mass immigration will just deploy these robots to offset their small populations and not have to rely on immigrants to be productive.

The problem will be with countries that don't have the technological pedigree to pull this off that will struggle to keep up. And those with fast growing populations will need to provide jobs so their people can earn a living thus robotics, AI and automation will be seen as a bane to their societies because it deprives them of jobs and income. They will push back against it.

Are we (or more importantly japan or korea) really even close to being able to support entire like sectors of production with robotics? Or is there just going to be demographic collapse before we get around to it?

Korea has definitely been in the lead for a while now. Look at Samsung, they have THE most advanced and automated Phone manufacturing factory. It has virtually zero human interaction other than techs who maintain the robotics. Not even China has this level of automation. LG and Samsung high end OLED TV's are made with virtually no human touch as well. Their car factories are getting there as is China. Its not fully ready but its getting there quickly.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQ5t7zgoQRM

Japan is behind as has been their technological cadence over their lost decades but there is nothing stopping them from buying these robots and using them as well since they have smart enough people to utilize them. They can also get back into the robotics game as they have many established and well respected robotics companies but granted they are behind the bleeding edge compared to their neighbors.

But only time will tell. This isn't going to happen in the next year or two but will be pretty obvious in around a decade based on projections. Both Japan and Korea will be around for this to take place so I'm personally interested in watching how this develops. Especially within the US as we're developing advanced robotics and AI as everyone knows.
