The eggplant isn't RNG, it's always there. The RNG part is whether or not you get an item that refills your food meter at the end or if you get a fucking ring, and the odds of that are about 75% in your favour

also technically it's possible to avoid the eggplant egg but it's really, really really hard. Would be very easy if you managed to keep a weapon though but in order to do that you need to not die for a LONG time in the hardest levels of the game. Which is why the """longplays""" on YT are TAS.
