How true is it that "you become what you hate"? How does this work on an energetic level?

So I can become a better person if I kill good light people?

depends how much time and energy you spend hating things I guess. Reminds me of the niezche quote that goes something like "Be careful chasing monsters lest you become one." righteous indignation will only take you so far. as to how it works, if you spend more time brooding over something you hate, you leave less time for being anything else.

idk what is true, but in my experience getting past the threshold into being consumed by hate can start warping your perception until it's hard to see things outside that lens. Sort of start crashing into things you don't actually hate. Not very functional for actually doing something about whatever you hate. I'm cool with hate, tells you something matters to you, but it can turn you into a blind rabid ghoul.

Just self fulfilling prophecies or some sort of narrative tool but reality is that it depends on yourself.
So far I have not become anything I hated. In fact I have been validated in my hatred. Its important to have reasons for it and be able to verbalize things, not just be a whole mess of uncontrollable emotions because 'hate bad'.

>How true is it
It's a relevant truth in limited contexts, but it's never absolute.
>How does this work on an energetic level?
Hate is a lesser alignment of love, and so even when we separate ourselves from others energetically, there is still a path that is being made away from them. If you walk down a path long enough you become entrenched in its journey. Perhaps you hate trees because they block the sun? You'll likely find yourself in a desert, where you become the shade you loathed. Even if you hate the sand more, on a path of hate it doesn't matter, because you walk backwards. Everything new is found directly beneath your feet.

I like your words. Could I get a book recommendation? Just any book you liked, doesn't have to be /x/ related. Something that resonated with you.

It's an indirect sequel to the 1985 novel Ender's Game.
