When John wrote the Book of Revelation, did he see tall buildings, iPhones, technology, etc? Will those things even exist by the time of the apocalypse?

I’ve listened extensively to what’s supposed to happen in the end times. And I’m sorry it all sounds just too unrealistic to me now. I believe in Jesus but the Bible is obviously not all true like they indoctrinated everyone to think.

This would imply that everyone will have a way to see something only happening in one specific place, which's been the case for years now.

There's also the "knowledge shall increase" bit, a possible reference to the internet, and while that's not specific from Revelations, it's prophecy for the same time.

Image of the beast, mark of the beast and other stuff, including the destruction of the Vatican. So much to extrapolate.

Some medieval people regarded the use of specifically forks as an act of vanity, something the rich would do. Similar attitudes were held about eating white bread, that it was an elitist habit. St. John would not likely fall into that category because he wouldn't be contemporary with people who held that notion. He also wouldn't be dumbfounded and mystified by people eating with spoons and forks because people have been eating with spoons since about 30,000 BC.

What is truly amazing is the prophets ability to contain and incredible accuracy tell us what to look for, for those chosen to see.
Here is one possible example.
