Kinda disappointed in myself that I gave up on Langrisser so early on when it first came out. I'm having a lot of fun right now. The music and visuals pop so damn much, and I really enjoy the user interface (skeuomorphic design!). Been slowly making some progress and it's impressive that this game has been out as long as it has and barely anyone talks about it. Probably has a decent following somewhere else. My guess is SK.

Still fishing for Ilia/Eshean and hoping I can land either before the banner expires.

Depends how much work they expect out of me and how much I'm allowed to slack off doing things I want, aka being able to play video games, watch youtube/movies, and so on, on the job.

If my work is trying to look like I'm doing work, then forget about it, that's almost like prison.

I have enough money to buy a new computer with a 5090 right now if I wanted to. I save some money each month. Even working people are struggling nowadays though, most people don't have enough money saved for a $500 emergency, I think people are just really bad with money and buy unnecessary things.

UBI basically, it's not that much money but it's enough that I can save some of it. If I only paid rent + bills and food I'd have like $300 left over a month maybe? I live in a pretty expensive apartment because it's a nice quality of life boost I think, I ain't gonna move back to a commieblock ever. I have cheap hobbies so this works out for me.

i spent 7 years in the army and i can count the number of times i did drill and ceremony after basic training on one hand, and one of those times was when i had to instruct how to do it at the NCO academy when i became a sergeant. the other 3 times were at brigade and division change of command ceremonies. it's just not something the u.s. army really practices. only the old guard and the army band really does drill and ceremony practice since its their full time job.
