Very incomplete since the devs both: encrypt the original data table files that hold the text the game uses, and have some cumbersome way of tagging flags for when the game calls on a specific text to use, and because the guy that started the project is a Korean ESL and a good chunk of the small EN fanbase helping him through contributions towards the Miraheze wiki/spreadsheet either use MTL (Google) or AI translations

There's also the fact that the whole text isn't simply held in one file and that even sometimes there are chunks of text that are misplaced in unrelated tables.

On the Miraheze site only two tables are being actively worked on, one that holds most of the game text and one that holds the text for Main Story Season 1.

Imo, I think this game has flourished so far because the worldbuilding surrounding the game itself is very interesting and not seen very often in other gachas of a similar or bigger scale (general comedy/dark humor combo, the world refusing to acknowledge the very concept of death, other civilizations outside of the "small" patch of land the game is set in, etc.) as well as the character dynamics.

There's no need to link your mobile accounts like with Limbus, I think it's a quirk specific to that game due to how it does Steam integration (at least I think that's the reason).
For this game there's just an account login, and at least for most gacha games I've played in the past (E7, GFL, Hi3, etc.) it's always been that way.

Then yeah that's fairly easy due to the card system. You just need 20 cards to obtain them (which can be done through various means other than rolling). They even recently added a card conversion system so you can change them to different characters. Rolling also gives you both spark and dupe currency.

Then no, but the Raid/PVP portion of the game is entirely skippable, and doesn't give you too much extra income anyways.

It's subjective, but I quite like the story. The game also updates REALLY QUICKLY. If the game is going to follow KR's schedule then you'll get an event every two weeks, main story updates bi-weekly or so, and either skin stories or mini-event stories whenever they feel like it. All fully voiced too.

A bit of a misunderstanding here due to a lack of context. The Korean drama the writer was referring to is an infamously memed historical drama following the life of a Korean gangster known as "Rustic Period" (야인시대). A large part of Korea's early meme culture and MAD community revolved around it. Since Trickcal revolves heavily around memes, he's basically making reference to it in an ironic manner.
Also note that this is a callback to an earlier portion of the interview where they were talking about Snorky, who's entire existence is just a reference to Rustic Period.

Says in this interview that the global build will be different from that of the Korean build, as it's co-developed with Bilibili. We'd want to know the differences between both clients (like Bilibili shadily having Levi who's originally a 2* in KR as a 3* unit pre-register goal instead of the actual 3* Meluna in KR), plus we also want to know if the EN translation is actually good or if Bilibili ran it through MTL garbage judging from misspellings and typos littered throughout the promotional material so far. It also helps in marketing the game through word of mouth, but that's if Bilibili actually gave Trickcal their 110% effort compared to their previous games.

I've played the KR version but I've only seen videos of Global CBT gameplay, with that in mind here are my gameplay takes:

I also have some opinions about the story and VA:
There are some story changes (most notably the intro has been completely changed). My best guess is that Rie Kugimiya is really expensive, and they wanted to have a new intro featuring her more. Otherwise the rest of the chapters shown in the beta are the same.

There are also some line changes, Probably because certain references are too obscure to be understood?

Biggest complaint is the VA. They have some expensive names, but there are some misses. I can go more into more detail about it if people are curious, but if I were to give an overall criticism, whereas the KR VAs ham it up like cartoon characters, the JP VAs are playing it too straight. It's currently my largest concern with global, even beyond gameplay, honestly.

Element synergy also exists in global (just smaller values) and a newly added race synergy. At least at the start of the game, focusing on element synergy will be a good idea, since the character pool wouldn't be large enough to support element + race synergy teams yet.

Do keep in mind that element synergy does become very useful later. For PVE I've been able to beat stages with a 500k+ power deficit (at least in the KR version). And for PVP a lower power team can smash through an enemy team if the synergies work in your favor. But again, this doesn't matter too much until later.

It's because people believe the JP dub, at least in the beta, played the characters a bit too straight and seriously, while the KR dub actually had the chaotic and memetic energy needed for the whole thing to make sense (the KR VAs basically exaggerate a lot of their voicelines to sell the comedy). Like seriously, Trickcal is set in a world where any form and method of (sentient) death is actively suppressed by its creator deity, with all intelligent beings having their intellect dampened over time so that they stop delving into the whys any further, and that pretty much powers a good chunk of the conflicts in the story. Apparently Vivi was one of the strongest characters for like the first year of the game and innocence reigned at the top until Renewa came out. KR forums are saying that it's more just power creep over 2 years while not getting great characters themselves.

Sad but no pc client is a deal breaker for me. Put up with emulators for years and was finally able to ditch them for good once BA got a steam client. Not about to suffer them again for a game this silly. Hope it has success but I'll probably just lurk the launch threads and enjoy vicariously.
