How can anyone truly tell if they're special... or if a spirit, mentor, or higher force is watching over them, or that their life is destined to take a magical turn? I've had those feelings about myself before. But when I look around, I see thousands of others who feel the same way. And the truth is, in most cases, their lives remain fairly ordinary. They aren't discovering hidden tombs, becoming rich overnight, or unlocking supernatural abilities.

It makes me wonder if this is just a common delusion - a kind of psychological coping mechanism we share, especially in paranormal or spiritual communities. Everyone seems to feel "chosen" or watched, and yet, most end up living regular lives or maybe just develop schizophrenia.

For example: There was a moment when something unusual happened and I felt it was a sign meant for me. But my friend, who witnessed the same event, was convinced it was a sign for them - for something entirely different. That made me realize how subjective and self-centered these interpretations can be. The more I observe, the more it seems like we all instinctively frame things as being about us.

So now I'm left questioning: am I really being guided or chosen in some way... or am I just caught in the same illusion as everyone else? I'm guessing it's the latter unless I want to give into cope as many I've seen have.

Some feel special in that they’re more gifted, or destined for greatness, or more persecuted, and so on… but such beliefs deny the divinity of all of existence by placing the self on a pedestal. No one and no thing is above or below any other. As your faith in specialness recedes and you begin to simply value all of life in all of its expressions, joy begins to replace suffering

No, I think from the astral plane I put myself here to train up and learn what I needed to so I could advance. I have had several destined fated points in my life that I can see my fingerprints on. I think at the end of the day, it all hinges on you and what you get to decide for yourself. The freedom of choice is yours, so I believe it doesn't matter to think and worry about whether you are or you aren't, instead just look ahead and move forward in life through your own actions and choices that you get to decide for yourself. Cute post. And I get I get where you're coming from but I think that kind of framing glosses over the core of what was being asked. I still want to know whether these mystical feelings of being chosen or guided actually have any basis in reality or if they're just comforting illusions we tell ourselves. I guess what I'm trying to say, is to reject the uncertainty altogether. If you are special, then you will know it through undeniable proof and results overtime. If you are not special and it was simply delusional thoughts and feelings, then nothing special will happen and that's all there was to it. But it shouldn't matter whether you are special or not, reject that premise from the very beginning and instead decide for yourself through your own actions regardless if you're actually special or not, who you're gonna be, who you wish to be, and who you will be, rather than letting fate or the lack thereof guide and decide for you instead.
