People simply don't have the time, effort or energy to be happy. Trying to condense the joys of life into a tiny window after a long day of work or a tiny weekend is not the way people should be expected to live. Normies are feel this tiredness and become extra vulnerable to various forms of mental poison such as the doomer mentality. This mentality is a byproduct of all social media algorithms discovering that cynical angry people stay around longer. And they're all so tired they don't have anywhere near as much energy as they should to be able to resist. And that just downward spirals as this makes them feel worse and worse and have less and less willpower.

The doomer irony poisoned mindset is affecting the world in such a terrible way that you can eve start to see people get angry at joy. People will call you out and try to stop you from simply being happy. They'll say you should be worrying about some problem they can't fix or try to undermine you for choosing to be happy when things are apparently so over. You can see it on plenty of boards here, fun silly threads get invaded by people trying to derail it into more rage bait as they just can't stand the idea of people being happy fun human beings instead of miserable whiners like everyone else.

It that leads to the creation of a black and white mindset. Life to these people becomes about winners and losers, they must at all times be the chad and their enemies are the wojack. You can't simply disagree, they are with you or against you. The world becomes less colorful as simply having a different opinion now sets you up for attack as your now marked as an enemy. You disagree with them is not an opinion but an attack at their very mind and will be responded with maximum hostility. Even religious stuff nowadays, especially Christianity, is no longer about the benefits of the beliefs, but about insisting how right you are and wrong everyone else is, it become self validation instead of enlightenment

These are my exact thoughts for the last 3 years. Good post. People do indeed get angry when you're enjoying yourself. It's crazy, I've experienced it many times first hand. I stopped watching the news and started exercising and my happiness level skyrocketed. Ever since then, people have done their absolute best to tear me down any chance they get.
