those checker patterns, its more like black and white. what they mean is that the tendril is not gray, and it isn't colored. the pattern represents the partitioning operations at the base of the universe. those are, more or less, the living "pixels" of the universe.

recall that in the beginning, the first division happened, creating a 2 regions, one of light and dark. that is the semiotic structure of the origin story of as many religions as we can find.

I recently had a dream that there was a black & white checkered spider descending from my ceiling while I was sleeping (in the dream) and I woke up (IRL) just before it touched me. It felt significant but I don't know what to make of it. Things have felt a bit more chaotic for me since then, but it could be a coincidence.

as far as I am aware, the checker pattern stuff is, as we have common ground here, real. it is the curtain of sorts between us and the creator. you could think of it like a sock puppet.

that is a visual cortex mapping process for cats. there is also a video for frogs too which I cannot find, though it shows how frogs can be tricked into thinking a vertical line, either black-on-white or white-on-black, will trigger the eat response reliably when it is presented to them visually at an angle of more than 60 or so degrees. other patterns are testable as well, such as checkerboard, noise, dot matrix, etc...

I am of the opinion that the checkerboard pattern makes the most minimally descriptive texture pattern possible. 2 colors only, that is sensible. the square pattern though... it could be implemented as a hex tile, but that would be more disruptions to the visual field. also notice that you can visually determine the "center" and "flow" of the tendrils because the edges of the checker tiles are aligned with the surface such that at the tip, they all come to a common point, not landing in the middle of a tile color, or some wacky twist or angle to it.

Because of Visual snow, while looking at TV static, I was able to see forms right in front of my eyes, unlike any other normal person without visual snow.

Looking at TV static, I keep seeing the formation of a heart-shaped symbol turn into a bird(or a bat with long wings) and fly slowly to edge of the computer screen. Sometimes I see that heart-shaped symbol turn into a jellyfish or an octopus and swim away to the edge of the screen again.

I once saw what looked like the ceiling of a circus tent form among many other forms. These visions do not work with other colors, like blue-yellow and it only works with black-white, since I tested it.

Then I realised that that I was seeing patterns form right infront of my eyes. The human brain is wired to recognize patterns as a survival mechanism. This ability helps us identify faces and other important shapes quickly in our environment. When you stare at static, your brain tries to make sense of the random visuals by imposing familiar shapes onto it, like an AI language model would.

But this felt like somone literally took a hammer and smashed open my head . . . When I mean pain I mean I was screaming when I happened. . . And soon my vision started to turn golden . . . A golden yellow like somone put a filter contact over my eyes . . . And laughter began to fill my head, it sounded loud and while at the time I was terrified of the laughing as it was mixed with this unbelievable brain splitting pain . . . But I'm actually a nurse and I know that no drug or psychedelics have a half-life that last that long or would be intermediate like that over 2 weeks. so i went into the dmt experience wrong to begin with because I was a few beers deep and a strange friend into esotericism gave me some. It was my first experience with the substance too.
He had some changa and it seemed the DMT wasn't evenly distributed because I smoked a few pipeloads with barely any effect before he added some more powder dmt to the pipe. I came back to the real world and I immediately felt a murderous rage to my friend because he was talking casually while I was in and out of worlds which is unlike my usual temperament. I blasted back into the real world and got visuals of tentacles reaching out and sucking chi or something from me from the dark treeline in front of us. I said in my mind "I believe in the lord jesus christ" and they immediately shrank back. It could've been placebo but it definitely shook me.

There's always some color present when one tries to imagine true nothingness. Cause for there to be true nothingness there can be no color at all.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of creating a jester outfit as a ritual garb. To use it while meditating, charging sigils, preforming rituals, or reveling.
Not only does it channel the archetype of the jester/trickster from the human psyche, but jesters are incredibly charged with symbolism and fit incredibly well into the occult, partially through them being so engrained with human experience and appear in many different forms, but also because they appear frequently in dreams, visions, or while tripping on certain substances. My idea is that Taking on the appearance and role of a jester while engaging with the esoteric will allow me to approach anything that I do with a mindful and open playfulness.
The memetic power that the jester represents will allow me to explore the deeper facets with a mirthful and laissez-faire attitude, my mind no longer hampered by the rigid worry of convention or the scorn of others. It will encourage me to dive deep while still keeping my wits about me. Like water off a ducks back, the troubles and unnecessary negative energy will not pass through my mirth.
relating to the thread topic I specifically enjoy some jester/harlequin/clown garbs for their use of checkerboard patterns, the repeating dark and light checkers representing both duality and infinity incredibly well despite being so simple.
