Rock people, because it's most likely a rock.

However there are some interesting facts about it, for one there is the approach it is taking and how that coincidentally would be an intelligent path for a ship to take.

The other is the lack of spin. Either the entire rock is spinning like a drill and orientated so that it is pointed towards us, it is a sphere, or it is not spinning.

Here's a guess:

Closest star to earth and has an earth like planet in the habitable zone: Proxima b.
If 3i Atlas is a ship disguised as a comet then it would have had to leave Centauri around 1955.
Proxima b would have been able to observe us up to 1950 before leaving. We did send some broadcasts out before then which could have reached them.
The earth's atmosphere would already have shown many signs of our civilization and would have been detectable by Centaurians for a long time.
The acceleration required to reach us is within the reach of theoretical fusion drives.
I'm also assuming the real ship is much smaller and is creating a fake outgassing to appear like a comet.

So, maybe there's a civilization on Proxima b who watched Hitler's speeches and the Lone Ranger and decided to come ask for signatures.

Note that this is literally the situation from the 3-body sci-fi book series, since the Trisolarans are from the Centauri system.

A real astronomer could chime in about the trajectory though, I have no idea if it really lines up. Fuck doing that math lmao

It just so happens that when the JWST tried to look at the Centauri system in July 2023 there was a "technical error" and they didn't get any usable data.
Nothing about Proxima at all, in 2024 they only looked at Centauri A a couple times.

Theoretically if a ship left Proxima b, say a little after the date that they could have detected the Trinity test, that would be a realistic timeline for fusion drive based propulsion.
In 2023 JWST could have caught a look at the infrared trail left by such a burn. Then the military would have censored it according to known protocols (national security, prevent panic).

This is literally the premise of 3-Body. Which is a book by a Chinese author. Tinfoil: the Chinese uncovered the cover up and did disclosure of their own through 3-body. The U.S. began disclosure a year after his books were translated.

I find it crazy that supposedly we’ll have “clearer” pictures tomorrow, it arrives near our planet in a mere two months and supposedly it comes from a “near-by” exo planet… and all we get is crickets.

I think the attention this is getting is largely a psyop, Epstein distraction or not. Jeremy Corbell already made the bold claim that they would falsely claim something alien would come from outside the solar system as a false flag. I dont think 3I/ATLAS is it, but it gave them an opportunity to plant some seeds and study how people react. Get a lay of the land, map out who's gullible enough to buy into the stuff about it being ayys, who the people are that spread the idea, who is skeptical.
This gives them the ability to fine tune whatever Corbell talked about.
