>it could be they are doing this to trigger schizo on their target, who know
A very interesting if not a bit science-fictional theory.
If they knew how to trigger schizophrenia they would also know what causes it and that would mean: Goodbye bully who stole my bike helmet in elementary school whose life I'm now trying to ruin and hello Nobel Prize and history books.
In this theory it's much more possible that the perpetrator has found a way to replicate every behavioural aspect (or as many as they could get) of schizophrenia in order to create pseudo-schizophrenia in a victim.
The only way someone would hide the knowledge of the cause of schizophrenia would be if they were of a religious doctrine. Being good or being evil for the sake of being good or being evil, pleasing a God or living up to their religion, reaching inner rather than outer fulfilment.
The 'schizophrenia that only happens at certain times of the day' is so sloppy that it creates a mystery of its own. How could the perpetrator miss this fact? Why is this error not being corrected if they are trying to replicate schizophrenia so badly?
This is why I believe they shock em and sees what happens rather than trying to replicate some disease. It won't trick a professional and it won't get them through the forensics.
I believe that victims are being diagnosed. Not because they have real schizophrenia but because the doctor knows that if they can give them medication for schizophrenia, which requires a diagnosis, the patients are less prone to ruin their lives further. Perhaps the perpetrator is relieved by this. Perhaps they are a bit more cunning and know that they still need to be sneaky as a mouse about it.
