/aft/ Afterlife Fascination Thread #22
Previous: https://archive.4plebs.org/x/thread/40891274/

This thread is for general discussion of the afterlife, motivated by curiosity and fascination of the afterlife itself, rather than the fear of death.

Any kind of speculation is welcome. Feel free to share your own research or personal anecdotes. Questions are encouraged

I'm pretty curious about this.
I'm convinced I achieved enlightenment earlier this year and while growth has been continual since then I'm essentially already in my afterlife as the old me is dead.
However, trip reports (NDEs) are necessary to prepare for phase two of the afterlife, the ghost bits.

Due to my religious beliefs I am no longer a human from earth, that guy died and was replaced by a new guy from heaven once I realized a few things, so the barrier between life and after life is pretty much already gone.
I'm a spirit, post death, and I live in what I consider to be heaven; as heaven is perfect, holy, and made for the "dead", which is what I consider the earth to be. The first two due to earth being made by God and the last one being due to spiritual death and rebirth.

All that aside, I haven't physically died yet and I am curious about what dreams, if any, come during the great sleep of death.

Reincarnation and afterlives are not real. The body is a vessel for consciousness and once the body is gone so is the consciousness associated with it, FOREVER. Nobody will judge you and you aren't going anywhere after, you simply cease to exist. They can create unlimited humans on the other hand so life will never stop existing here on earth. The creation is eternal and the creator can experience himself eternally, you are not on the other hand.

from what i have seen hell is probably not forever. the saints - people from higher astral aka heaven are all the time coming to lower astral aka hell to help souls trapped there ascend to higher astral. i seen video on yt about work in hospice and i seen few people in the comments talking that on the brink of death of their loved one they appeared like their younger selves. that astral projector was saying that during he was helping person from lower astral to ascend she was turning from old and diseased looking into healthy and young.
i heard that bible says that the only reason why people cant get out of hell is becouse they keep sinning there. so maybe alone they cant ascend but with the help of saint they can ascend. but it was in gloomy city realm, idk if saints can go to lake of fire realm if there is so hot it pains

Swedenborgian take:
But hell is willful separation from God.
Basically you love yourself, and the selfishness that stems from self-love, so much that you cannot stand an atmosphere of mutual love that exists in heaven. Also you cannot restrain yourself from acting on your vices, so you would get kicked out even if you could withstand the vibrations of mutual love.

Feeling waves of mutual love feels awesome, so most people think they could handle it. But in reality they can't. They would revert to their crabs in a bucket (envy), pride, arrogance, cruelty, and other shitty traits that would cause them to cast themselves out of the light and into the dark where they are comfortable. It is their own loss to enter into the shadows, but the reality is they can't handle the light until they undergo extensive purification of their personality.

Bringing a hell person into heaven is like playing a rap song in a japanese 7/11 that is used to playing classical music. It just won't vibe, and will be kicked out soon enough

That's what I think. Based on NDEs, the body and the brain does not create reality, but limits it like a bottleneck. That's why people in NDEs report seeing colors they have never seen before after leaving their body and going into Heaven.

The more I research into this the more I hate it
Basically it all comes down to logic, reason and structure being thrown off into a fucking trash can and a bunch of nonsensical shit happening but at the same time an strict set of rules is applied to humans, not to otherwordly beings, being that case the people who gets thrown into this life again against their will when they have an NDE, so basically I dont see the appeal of being in some stupid realm where a joker entity performs dreamy shit with no sense, the more I try to meditate on what is exactly making me mad about it is that existence in the other life doesnt seem to have any fucking sense or purpose at least from the irreligious perspective of an afterlife and when they say that everything is about some emotional reason like 'ohh its all about the heckin love' its like fuck off
Basically, it doesnt seem like any reality shattering truth is being disclosed, just a bunch of amusing shit mixed with hightened emotions
It also bothers me how many different versions of the afterlife there are, it doesnt seem to have any end or to follow a pattern that can be clearly distinguished, you only have to take a look at Earth, where theres a shit ton of religions and supernatural claims that while may have similarities it doesnt lead to a satisfying answer however with the few pieces that you can take it all turns into pointless shit that doesnt seem to take our existences as anything

I want to kill myself because I'm not looking forward to having to wagecuck to survive. Worked my whole life in STEM just to find no job opportunities that pay above 40k anywhere, so at the end of the day I'm still stuck in the same tax bracket that I spent my entire life trying to get out of.

I would love to know why the astralniggers find this a worthwhile life to experience.
Le little things in life are not enough to make up for a lifetime of selling my soul to big corpo. I don't have anybody I love here that I want to stay for.

To all "higher beings" or enlightened anons or NDE havers or whatever, I request of you this:
If there are any arguments to why I should not kill myself, I would like to hear them. I am not afraid of what "punishment" is on the other side or how much "people will miss you!1!1" in my life review. I am not living 50-60 more years of disappointment and
>wake up
>work
>go home
unless there's a good reason for it beyond >you just HAVE to, ok?!?!? or >muh pretty birds and butterflies.
I see no point to this drudgery.

Every day makes me feel closer to this. I personally think that the most important thing is to realize and discover who you are.
You need to figure out what it is you want out of existence as a whole. What is it you like and what is it you want. Its not as simple as just thinking of an ideal life in this world, but like an inherent endless passion to learn, discover or enjoy something. Something that'd take you across many worlds or maybe lifetimes. A drive so strong you know you could do it forever. If you were to just reincarnate, who would you want to be? Or if you just want to wander through history as an observer, when and where would you go?
I think discovering this self is what life is for most. People with huge drives in this world I think chose to be here to do that. But if you can't think of any inherent thing you'd want in this world, even if you were to magically become a billionaire, then to me it seems this life was just of self discovery.

Its not just about desire though. Because there's a likely change there's parts about yourself you might not like or wish to change. I for one am very judgmental and am trying to fix it. You yourself need to identify if you find yourself perfect. Fixing it is a long journey sure but you at least need to realize what it is you want to change so you can use to identify what you become.

I think a great exercise i read from I Am The Word is to try and imagine a giant ladder to heaven and you are climbing it. And at the very top above the clouds there is the perfect you. In perfect shape, in perfect mental capacity. The god tier you wish you could be. As longas you can feel them and understand who that person is, then you've got the most important part of this life.

Only other part is the ability to happily part with every element of this world with no regrets no matter how "selfish" it seems. If you're some baby that goes "I can't suicide because mom will be sad" you aren't ready to kill yourself

I had a great dream affirming that the good go to a good afterlife:

>had a horrible, horrible nightmare I don't want to get in to
>it was purely demonic, hellish, terrible
>like the clouds parting after a storm, I was given a good dream from God after this
>I became lucid in this dream and went to the porch where there was a young black woman in a military uniform and a black child as well
>I asked the child, "What happens to us when we die?"
>He pointed upwards towards the sky and said, "You go to Heaven."

Hello anon, first let me just say this; money isn't everything and wanting to kill yourself because you don't earn enough for material wealth is a sad outlook on life.
Secondly: if you want to experience life as it's meant to be experienced, try connecting with nature and just feeling the warm august sun on your body. Have a beer, sit down by a lake while it's late with a campfire and just look at the stars, if this doesn't amaze you, do something you like. There is more to life than just waging away, and yes, you can find meaning in life if you sit down and reflect on it. It took me many years to find a purpose, and I still haven't figured it out entirely, but.. you shouldn't end your life because you don't earn enough, do you have a warm bed? Do you have food in your belly? Do you wake up in the morning not having to worry about being killed? You most likely do, so already your life is better than majority of the world, in fact, you are blessed. Cherish it anon, be grateful for life, it could have turned out way differently.
Thirdly: try finding a hobby YOU like, and then find groups for people who do the same, do the thing with them, having people around you will make life better, and you shouldn't go trough life alone, it can be a cruel existence, and it's much better to go trough life with someone else, bonus is they can offer a different perspective on things and you might learn something.
No matter what you do, if you kill yourself or you choose to live, I hope you'll be alright anon, and that you will be content with life either lived or liven.

I am convinced there is an afterlife, some might shrug me off for this but I've seen the other side, both with psychedelics but also as a NDE, there is so much that prove an afterlife, and it just makes sense you know. Why would existence be nothing but pure coincidence, no, something made this dimension for us to learn how to walk, so that we can run around in an afterlife (higher dimension?)

I could go on a super long rant and tell my NDE and trips (heroic dosages) that showed me proof of an afterlife, but I don't want to ramble more than I already have.

What do you guys think about pic related?Agree?
Anonymous No.40956211
>>40956163
I somewhat agree. But I think its less of a cosmic energy and more of mental/spiritual element that's part of our construction. Specifically its something IN us all, not apart of the external universe/reality. Like the tl dr says its almost like an algorithm deep within our essence/selves that we follow even if we aren't aware of it. Some stuff like Plato's Meno tries to imply that its something deep within us, we aren't really taught morals. We just deep down intuitively have this framework of good things and bad things from the start. We just know good things are good, because our minds are rigged to look at them that way. "Acting from craving, fear or illusion" is a bit vague though because their can be times where those things truly are out of our control and the desire for better is just a genuinely good one.

I think its a matter of intention and identification that looks as though its self punishment, but almost a kind of subconscious law of assumption. We see good and bad as self replicating things, more good makes more good and vice versa. So when we intend to do something, something we know deep down is bad, we almost imprint ourself with the expectation that it can and will lead to bad things. But as these intentions are from are entire being, not just our surface level thoughts, that's why people can act in ways they think are good but actually aren't.

Some text argue that this deep innate goodness is our connection to our greater selves or even god. No matter who we are, there's a deep down intrinsic property of all of us that is able to always recognize what is good and what is bad, even if we can't quite put it into exact words. I think this could also be the very thing, or at least a part of, the idea of a "Great Love" that people say they have felt in NDEs or spiritual awakenings. There just seems to be this flawless goodness that we as beings are from the start programmed to find and construct in everything we do

I've been thinking about the movie Corpse Bride lately. In that movie, the living world is dull and gray while the afterlife is lively and colorful. Every living character is dead inside, and every dead character is a ton of fun.
I wonder if the real afterlife is like that in comparison to our world.
