Look at Zoroastrianism, as this is actually philosophy that becomes so deep that it turns into spirituality and consequently religion. It was so renowned and sophisticated in comparison to the barbaric animal, sacrifice cults that populated the various tribes of the ancient world, it gave birth to the idea of "a proper religion" and all of these sacrifice cults modeled themselves from the Zoroastrian religion, while deeply corrupting and distorting the beautiful teachings - and then when themselves having gained power, sought to completely exterminate, even the memory of the Zoroastrian religion, because it exposes the falsehood of not only Abraham doctrine, but ALL falsehood.
