What is the mind and dreams and soul?
What is our mind? We have a body so we can act in this physical reality and without it we would not be able to interact with this world. But what about our mind? Our mind is like the thing which holds our imagination or our imagination comes from the power of our minds? I know why I need a body, but why do I need a mind? Why would I have one? Animals have minds, right? An ameba doesn't have a mind or does it? I'm an animal, I'm not an ameba (I hope). What is the nature of the mind? I noticed that in our minds we can be "free". In your mind you can do anything you want. It will only happen in your imagination, but you are free to think whatever you want, even evil. When I sleep and my mind starts dreaming I'm not limited by the rules of this reality anymore, I'm only limited by my imagination. In our dreams we can fly and create things with our imagination, I can create whole worlds, I can be a God, in my dreams, when I dream. So while our bodies are trapped, it's like our soul have the chance to enjoy itself a little bit and we dream about stuff. I think the gnostics are into something when they say our souls are trapped in this reality. When we dream our mind gets the chance to be free once again. To taste a little bit of what freedom is like. But when we wake up we have to share this reality. How is this possible? How come something, a body, be the host of a mind? The body imprison our minds, we are trapped. Our soul is not free to travel to where it wants to go. Most of the time you don't even realize you are dreaming. You only know you are dreaming when you wake up. But you can become a powerless even in your dreams because you can dream that you are powerless. I hope that we are all dreaming that we are human beings, but deep down we are God and we are in control. We are just dreaming that we are weak and pathetic and sinners, but deep down we are Gods. We were just tired of perfection and wanted to experience some chaos and guess what? It sucks BIG TIME!
