why did people strive to make beautiful things in the past while now it seems there's a concerted effort to uglify everything? for example art and movies (casting ugly actors with no acting talent for everything, making grotesque statues/paintings) why is that?

I think part of it is karmic and the other half self imposed maybe. Like in you saw yourself as ugly or a monster in your past life then that feeling might be strong enough to hex you into your next life. Well beauty is skin deep and ultimately insignificant in the grand scheme of things but it has to do with how our society operates on a system that distributes dopamine based on whether or not someone is complying with the system. Someones dopamine levels can directly influence their "beauty" thus this system distributes dopamine to those who are willing to comply with the ideals of this society. Im beatiful, indeed. Useful? Idk im 23 and im still virgin and i have to take meds. I guess something went wrong, i fucked up somewhere in my life to get to this age without gf.
