Look into NDE accounts. It's pretty great really. Or, depending on your soul vessel state, it's excruciatingly painful. Most people don't experience anything (probably didn't actually die and still had brain and heart activity). Of the ones that do die and report life beyond the physical, it's fucking incredible. About 20% of post death experiences are absolutely hellish and are excruciatingly agonizing. But that stays mostly in the realm of people that:

OD on drugs
Kill themselves because they couldn't handle their life and wanted a quick way out
Were complete and total degenerates in and out of prison that died in violent altercations

When I died there was nothing. No consciousness, no feeling, no visual, no sound, just infinite blackness that I couldn't even perceive as a thing until in retrospect when they brought me back. It was horrible, but because you no longer have consciousness or thought or feeling you'd never know

When you die you just wake up in a state similar to dreamspace.
You dont know you're dreaming. There will be weird glitches or errors, because it is an aspect of your memory rebuilding the world. Eventually, you'll live out the stuff you wanted to and life will get far weirder. There will be more moments that feel like repeats of mistakes. There will be more similar instances of "the good times."

Then reality just starts to crumble and mingle with the super reality or conscious reality. This is when things get REALLY esoteric. Think of it like suddenly gaining superpowers or anime level magic bullshit is suddenly real. You just get dropped in there.

As your extended life progresses you change into thst which is most befitting of your essence. At this time, the NPCs of your dreamspace begin to act different as some transform into reflections of other people in conscious reality.

I don’t know what the afterlife is like, and I can’t say what /x/ believes. But I remember a time when people spoke about a day when all deeds are weighed, when every action done in life is measured, and good deeds lead to a place of peace, while wrong ones bring consequences. My mom read "The Brothers Lionheart" to me when I was very young, multiple times. Because of that I still believe that after you die you go to Nangijala and if you die there you go to Nangilima. I basically subconsciously believe in isekai even if logically I know it's bogus.

It's kind of like believing in Santa Claus, but because nobody else knew about my belief in Nangijala and Nangilima, it never got corrected or challenged. Even at school all the religious education was very vague and open minded about everyone having their own ideas about what the after-life is like. The first time I questioned it I must have been almost 18 already. Every time I die in a dream I just pop out in a fantasy world with no drama about it, it's happened so many times. At least my subconscious self believes it 100%.

It's such a deeply ingrained belief that any time I'm not actively questioning it, I end up thinking as if it's true. Every time someone dies, in my mind they just go to Nangijala and it's not that sad. Even people who kill themselves get to go since that's basically what happens in the book as well. The belief is innocuous and not falsifiable, which seems to be good enough for my brain. Sometimes I even have to catch myself not matching the emotional energy around people when it comes to tragedies like car accidents. No, the people who got pulped into blood and gore on the asphalt at 90 mph did not just wake up perfectly fine in some medieval fantasy town and go on adventures, I'm the only one who was thinking that. They're just dead and it's very sad.

No idea, but I'm pretty confident that death is not the end, and it's not heaven or hell either. Something good beyond our current comprehension IMO
