optimal fight wear
lets say your walking down the street and u bump into a guy. one things leads into another your granted a fair 1v1 no weapons only limbs. (kicks and whatnot allowed) but you cant back out. what kind of clothing would be best? would you regular street wear help you? i usally wear a nike tech fleece very breathable and moveable material and typical sneakers. only thing that might through me off is if im wearing some jeans that day. i think perfect fighting outfit would be a good sports tracksuit like the nike tech suit and some sort of sneaker that u can grip the floor in and kick with but thats not too limiting. on the foot

this, your average joe and average fighter does not have the grip strength to grip skin
most people just train to grip a gi or grip clothes or cup your neck like in bjj

No clothes besides the tightest thong imaginable and savate shoes, plus oil on body

Loose, soft clothing like a tracksuit is a liability, just as it is when working with heavy machinery, and for the same reasons. The tracksuit in your picture offers a hundred places to grab on to, and a number of those grab locations can be used to hinder your mobility. If that hood falls down over your face you can't see. If your sleeve is pulled down over your hand, you can't move your arm properly to strike or grab. A longer stretch on clothing allows your opponent more leverage on you. The footwear is also a liability - it restricts your foot from moving freely while failing to provide any significant protection against stomps, or any shock absorption when you kick something hard. It is the worst of both worlds, a compromise in every aspect. The fact is that streetwear and sportswear is not designed with hand-to-hand combat in mind, and provides far more disadvantages than advantages.

I'd say some flexible pants that won't inhibit your leg movement and shoes with good traction so you don't slip. Everything else is personal preference; stuff like long sleeves will get all the judo and aikido people excited.

even better is if you wear a big sexy pair of fake silicone titties so his penor gets hard as a rock!!! >:D then you break it off and stab him right thru the neck with it, killing him instantly :DDD

Yeah, it's like an inferior judo. They are still good at arm grabs; they just suck at everything else.

I've put a lot of thought into this and Converse are probably the ideal casual sneakers you could be wearing in a street fight. Specifically the japan exclusive Converse Addict version of them, sized snug but not too tight. That part's important.
They're light weight and the pointy shape and toecap makes your kicks hurt a pretty noticeable amount more than barefoot or a typical sneaker, try it. The problem normal converses have is the lack of grip but the Addict model have a much grippier Vibram sole.

Fantasy thread?
I use special ninjitsu so I’d have to wear minimal clothing to allow for maximum agility and speed. I’d wear tear away pants to allow for a quick transition to optimal gear.

Some chainmail which will make his punches ineffective, also stab-proof unless he's using a spear. (I know it's a fair fight but this is in any case). Other than that you just want something breathable and hard to grab. Maybe a low-quality old shirt that will rip the moment your opponent grabs it.
