I can relate. In my early 30s and still feel good overall, but no question that I'm not as flexible as I used to be. Power is still there, if anything better than ever before, but I can't tuck my knees up into my chest like I used to for big pop.

Anyone remember what it's like to struggle with the feeling of ollieing while moving and wtf do you do about it? Is it literally just grind it out til it feels right? So fucking annoying how I can pop nice, controlled and levelled ollies while stationary or moving slow enough, but once I pick the speed up to anything approaching moderate it throws me off so that I forget all my good posture and timing and end up accidentally rotating or just bailing completely.

I'm not going to pretend like I remember what it was like learning moving ollies because I don't, but have you tried doing little baby ollies moving? Maybe it would help to just do the bare minimum while moving to get comfortable instead of aiming for doing it as good as your stationary ollies.

didn't even occur to me to dial it back first and build up. I've always done every pop like my life depends on it and I'm not great at controlling the height (always high as possible). Next session will be dedicated to trying smaller pops at speed.

Just takes awhile to build that stability when you're moving at speed, and getting used to carrying your momentum forward. I think it can help to have a small obstacle to ollie over, or a small ledge to ollie on, versus just doing it flat. Mentally I feel like it helps with the timing.

Bullet grip kind of sucks. Doesn't apply well (seems inclined to leave air bubbles and doesn't cut very well), and after only a few weeks on the board I'm somehow wearing the grip completely bare around the entire perimeter of the board. It was free grip which is why I got it.

I'm not a big fan of Mob. Tears the fuck out of shoes unnecessarily, excessively grippy the first few days then once the grip wears in and the coarser grains start to fall off it just turns into what Jessup Classic or Pig feels like when those grips are fresh (if that makes sense). I'd still take Mob over this Bullet crap for sure.
If you like really sticky grip like Mob I'd suggest checking out Jessup Ultra.

I've used Black Magic and Iron Horse before as well which are good (not as coarse as Mob).

I usually skate Converse shoes that at least for me take a while to break in (especially the flick) so that's why I like mob. I also skate less now and have a board for like half a year or more so I like it to keep the grip.

Has anyone watched the new Rough Cut of Kooren Couples?
I always thought he skated so stiff and like a grom who grew up around skating, but the new Rough Cut blew me away, it was such a pleasure.

Randomly started almost landing kickflips and pop shuvs after sleeping for like a week on it.
Last session i was so out of key i was fucking up ollies and now i feel the board like it's an extension of me. Like it all clicked and now i subcon understand how good skaters get the pop and flips down for hard shit like hardflips and dolphins n shit.
