see on the left side, if someone drops in from that quarterpipe, they have to go in a straightish line to skate those the rail and those two ledges, but if someone is dropping in from the far side quarter to skate the pyramid, they're now directly in the way of the guy who is landing a trick from the rails.
if someone jumps down those stairs, they fly into the guy who wanted to skate the flat bar.

we have a park with the same style of layout in my city. it forces you to skate in a "lane". the second a handful of skaters show up and disrupt the order, it turns into a disaster with people running into you from the front and also from back. its a ton of fun when nobody is there desu. the best part is you live so close by, you can go all the time.

one time somebody here posted an old pro, Caddo, who wrote these nice articles on skatepark design. its amazing that we keep getting new concrete parks, but unfortunately the issue of flow, direction, and space is something boomer skatepark builders keep getting wrong. did anyone save a link to his writings?
