BTW , WW2 soldiers didn't spend years training for these moves like modern martial arts. The whole course was only 10 hours.

They are. The neck is more vulnerable than the skull, and that's why it's off limits in most combat sports. You can see the impact a roundhouse kick has on an opponent when it lands on the neck, and sumo wrestlers will slap the shit out of the side of the neck of their opponents from time to time, allowing them to follow up with another technique.
