I’m in the market for a new graphics tablet after the one I’ve had since 2014 finally bit the dust. Is there a particular tablet brand you recommend?

If you've been drawing with a screenless tablet for years I'd recommend sticking with one. They're good if you're doing the transition from traditional to digital without the hassle of adapting your hand-eye coordination but keep in mind that price range inflates by a lot if you want a bigger and higher-res screen (which would be ideal if you want to avoid hand cramps imo)

The reason why I put my bio and only posting myself with Japanese to avoid the drama especially the cancelling drama.
My specialty are drawing muscled guys in sketchy positions. Yeah I know it's a generic fetish. But I'm still in a dilemma on whether I should draw political-based porn and would it do any good on my account in the long run, so I just stick to drawing guys in their occupation uniforms. The comic is interesting, but kinda hard to follow along. It looks like he's in a TV being controlled, the remote goes haywire, and somehow he ends up naked on the TV screen.

The concept was good, I just think some panels are a little confusing.

Premise was a TV remote interfered signals with Miguel’s suit, so the confused owner keep mashing it unbeknownst it was controlling the suit from a distance instead of his TV.
This ends up with Miguel paused at a window with his suit turning off.

I can see I have a problem confusing people with the comics I make; they are either the posts that give me the most or the least likes in my pages by average.

But yeah, even in that Valentine's day coming, I don't quite understand the punchline.

Add I understand it, it's Valentine's Day, both guys are getting gifts. Big guy mockingly asks if the needles and yarn are the gift. Someone is offering a dress to the lady, and someone off screen is confused, but I can't tell who. She turns around and the big guy is randomly naked. Bird guy is asking about oven mitts for some reason.

I just don't understand the last panel.

Oh, got it. I was trying to connect how the bird could have made the dress, but I just could not see how that was possible. Usually there's motion lines or a sound effect to show comical speed. Totally flew over my head that the same colors/belt were used in the dress.

I did notice the thread, but did not match it to the guy's underwear. Especially since we have no idea what color the guys underwear were in the early panels.

That one makes sense. Alvin uses a fake doll to make Theodore throw the trash by himself. Doll is left with the trash and thrown away with it. Guy notices while naked and rushes out to save Alvin, only to find that it's a doll.

My only critique is that the 3rd panel kinda looks like the doll is dragging the trash. The sillhouette is also kinda dark for the trashman, so it's not immediately obvious that it's not the main guy.

You just pick up a pencil and start suffering lol. I had a huge crush on Gohan and tried recreating some very simple panels from the manga. Afterwards I tried drawing sexually and drew them like tetris blocks fitting together, it was not good. I just kept doodling for the most part but was never particularly any good.

Ideally, you actually start with a course for guided learning. It makes a huge difference.
I think DrawABox is a very popular free site for that, but personally I've never used it.

I bought a Coloso course, and the material is actually pretty good. Who knew that actually studying principles and basics can level up your art so fast. Sucks that you gotta keep at it and practice, or you'll forget.

You can probably find Youtube courses too, but it's kind of annoying trying to find an actual good set of videos that goes beyond the absolute basics and actually goes in-depth.

TLDR: Draw Often, Take time to actually study, Draw More so you don't forget

That’s literally what I did. I was a very shitty requester in draw threads but I eventually decided to step in.

My drawings started all gross, even when I was 19 I couldn’t bear to draw a self portrait without feeling disgusted by the results, and I only sticked to drawing simple things like egg shaped animals.

But during the pandemic I was taking art classes and it was basically a “tracing” practice, just redrawing pictures all over, trying to copy faces and poses in a speedrun, which worked for me from a beginning but once I got the trick I started “Frankenstein’g” drawings.

I started all choppy but I eventual got the hang of it simply by not stopping. I still struggle with lines, and as you can see above: “giving context”. But i definitely see progress given how it used to take me 1 week to make a single image with shading when now I did >>3081063

Honestly, it helped having support, just 5 reactions were enough for me when I started, but so you know, I went for a somewhat niche kink, and I mainly go for men with little or no porn at all, and as a result, I don’t get much growth in likes/popularity, but at least now I have the liberty to think anytime:

Sorta sorta. Alvin bribes Theodore to do his chore and uses a doll to make it look like he was doing it. 3rd panel you got it right. It was meant to deceive Dave by making him think “Alvin” was dragging the trash as he was told to.

As for the silhouette, I wanted to make it something a tiny bit dark with how Dave could think a trash man just tossed helpless-Alvin into the truck.

This one is actually pretty clear. I really like it! If I had to nitpick, I think the crowd and the finish line is kind of sudden. If you could somehow squeeze a sign showing that The Mask is coming from the direction of a big race, that would have helped a bit.

I really try not to draw the same guy often or more than once to give priority to those unrecognized men. But I still fall for him each year (and Steve Claus too, but at least he is niche).

In my defense, Nightwing already overshadows Batman in the lusting department, and all the Batman pics I find are either too vanilla / straight.

don't do traditional studying is my advice. just breakdown stylistic choices you like from other artists and try and replicate them. that's what i started doing in the last couple years and my art has improved tenfold. and references of course, for anatomy, but generally you can forgo correct anatomy in place of whatever looks/feels right. 100% correct anatomy looks very weird from certain angles, so you just kinda revise it so it looks better even if not "correct".

but the main trick is literally just looking at art from artists you like and stealing little pieces of their style. you like how they draw pecs? take it. you like how they draw hair? its yours now too. don't trace, that's boring and genuinely does not help you grow. simply look at what they draw and replicate it. an artist's style is just an amalgamation of things they've picked up from other artists.

fwiw you have a good basis here, plenty of losers can only dream of your current skill level

i've got a 1gb folder of anatomy references if you'd like it. covers all parts of the body, legs, arms, torso, shoulders, etc.
