i would look at the jericho scene as sort of an extension of the scene in the convenience store, where shinji comes after her after her mini breakdown and that gives her enough validation+encouragement to get past it. taking misato's room & shirt is part of her attempts to grab adulthood without understanding what it is, and taunting shinji seems like it was an attempt to goad him into doing something that would give her the same ego and validation hit as going after her did. (though this time without her being in a vulnerable position first) so it's not so much about her wanting something in particular but just the desire for him to do something that shows acknowledgement of her, in any and all of its forms. of course since it's eva they don't understand the others feeling and so the spark of potential communication in both scenes is misunderstood and squandered
