It's one of those things you don't question, like where did that wacky ass giant heart that smashed the enemy in Sailor moon S, it looks cool but it's ridiculous because there's a disconnection between the Sailor moon attack and that thing coming out, so I guess it's one of those "it's a hyperstylised visual that's only for the audience and that's it", and that is what the magical girl transformations are usually, unless it's meant for comedy.

In practicality tough, it should slbeen switched at least to an instant transformation that last only 3 seconds later on, like the very first Kamen Riders did, quick and simple while still offering that hyperstylised visual.

Well the Sailors do have a tendency to transform out-of-sight of the villains or wait for a proper opportunity to transform. And their special attacks and monologues do sometimes get interrupted if the villains are given a chance to do so. This feels like one of those complaints that are either just made up by people who haven't watched or don't really remember the show, or that are based on some other magical girl shows where this kind of question would actually be meaningful.

One of the things that surprised me most about the series is that Kunzite genuinely liked Zoisite. If you've seen the 90s anime, expect the episodes to skip right to the last 3rd of every season. Makoto is introduced in episode 22 of the 90s anime and episode 4 of Crystal. They were disposable henchemen general at the end, hell, in the original Sailor moon anime, the first one, because remember that in japan there are no seasons, but different Sailor moon shows, Original, R, S, Super S, Stars and Crystal, original had that improvised ending because Toei pulled a dick move and told the maker team the show was cancelled and had no idea if they were goin beyond, because the manga and anime we're almost simultaneously, that's why we got that "rewind" ending in the first series and the 2nd one cheap out by getting the girls back their memories, so technically the events got either reconned or just forgotten.
