Who would train him in taijutsu? Orochimaru's definitely specializes in ninjutsu. Nearly all the Sound henchmen are fucking dead. We know from the Sound Four that taijutsu isn't something that's extensively trained even among the elites because otherwise we'd see greater physical feats during their battles against our protags.
