It's weird because they did actually have some pretty good moments together in the manga.

It's just really bizarre that The Last acts like Naruto never realized that he cared about her despite the fact that he probably had more moments with her than with anyone else from Konoha 12 outside of his team. They could have easily transformed their relationship into genuine romance in a more natural way.
