This isn’t just backlash. This started in 2020. Mahomes wins MVP, goes to the Super Bowl — meanwhile the Lions go 5–12 and something in his brain snaps. Since then? Every Mahomes thread becomes a disaster. “Ref baby.” “Holding O-line merchant.” “Carried by the league.” The same phrases. Like a script.
