When Inio Asano exists and still writes manga, it's hard to call this misery porn or traumaslop in the slightest. While I like PunPun, that shit is understandably a bit too much for most crowds to sit down and read. I think people mostly never write stories that make you feel uncomfortable and deal with shit that can happen in real life vs the fantasy cutouts that media portrays of how life and relationships work out in the end. Takopi doesn't feel as unpalatable, personally. I think it hit the right amount of emotional punches for being a 16 chapter story. The ending is well worth it.
