That Imu is so desperately needing the Holy Knights and the giants specifically instead of just relying on the Admirals/Marines leads me to put a LOT more stock into the idea that it's Akainu lighting Mariejois on fire

Imu/the Gorosei should be able to get the Marines to handle just about any threat the Holy Land faces, there are few things you can't throw an Admiral at and have it be at least somewhat better. If they cannot rely on Marines/Admirals, that leads me to believe it is Marines themselves that are the problem (ie Akainu)
