I would have fared much better in taming Louise, and probably much worse in combat as the author gave Saito so much plot armor it was crazy, not even talking about the "combat expert" buff as Gandalfr. One guy against 60k, without killing them even due to accidental blood loss? C'mon.
If I had the same level of plot armor it would be very easy... for combat, as Saito is a smol japanese teen and I'm a big white guy.
If I had the same level of plot armor then sure combat would be easy.
What would inevitably spell my downfall would be politics / other relationships.
I probably wouldn't mess with the queen too much which would probably mess things up due to butterfly effects.
I would have to find a way to get close to Siesta to do the whole airplane arc, Zero idea how to do that, Siesta and me would be near polar opposites. Maybe I could try to be bros with her dad?
A lot of the queen's bullshit could be averted if I saved the life of her prince fiance. But by the time Saito/me would be summoned it's too late to effect the political landscape, so most I could do would be knock him out, kidnap him, and stash him at Henrietta's place while earning his ire for everything and being blamed for the failure of his rebellion / defense / whatever the right political term would be.
I have Zero confidence in doing the cliched "I have knowledge of the future plot! I must change as little as possible so I don't introduce variables so my future knowledge remains intact!" and would hit the ground running and changing shit from day one and hope for the best.
...It would forever bother me not being able to do magic in a world of magic though. I would become friends with Colbert, share what little knowledge I have, and see if we can jerryrig a way to skirt the laws of the setting. Maybe blood transfusions or organ replacements if it's a blood or genetic thing.
