I think they misaligned something on the kurisu re-release because I have connected the hair to the CRT several times but it just pops back out since I need to twist stuff to put it in and it acts sorta like a spring.
I've also managed to attach it by rotating the fig a bit clockwise while leaving the front foot peg out and the hair stays in place, but obviously the fig itself won't be in place properly and might fall.
I might try drilling a hole in the CRT a few centimeters to the left in order to connect the hair properly.

It's a pretty cool figure. It quickly became one of my favorites, and it looks great from many angles.

The cons are that the whip is a bit unstable, the base is huge (6"/15 cm in diameter), and that there's no easy way to see her butt. It's extremely well protected (sad).

In the grand scheme of things modeling takes little to no time, decent quality factories are limited, so they have a production queue, and from just the model to get an actual mass production model takes time, its a back and forth between design for hobby and design for manufacture.

Injection molds dont grow on trees either, to go from a 3D model to get one up and ready is a long process that takes months. And the molds are not all you need either, paint fixtures/screens and developing or tweaking a production process also takes weeks if not months even if its manual, its not a single person painting everything but rather a fairly complex operation of multiple layers/tasks.

Origin matters: Duty is based on where the item is made, not shipped from.


Example: A plushie made in China but shipped from Japan may face up to $200 postal duty per item.
