At this point I think Loki joining is 190 IQ. Harald and Rocks are obvious parallels to Loki and Luffy. I think it was really fucking odd not to have her play some role in Elbaf, given how her backstory was so interlinked with the damn place. In addition, she really felt tacked on to Wano and I think the arc would have benefitted from not having her and her crew present just for some breathing room. But Oda had already gone way overboard with her presence during WCI, specifically the wedding cake chase. So, I can at least understand him wanting to just get her out of the way. That and the old vs new generation theme was fine in practice, even if it was bullshit that Law and Kidd won that exchange.

The one piece world feels quite pessimistic for a shonen, no matter how much one trains or how old they get, they can't progress further in strength.

Like basically most Yonko Commanders. You'd THINK they're very strong and relative to the Yonko themselves, as they're the next in the succession line. Should a Yonko die then one of its commanders would be the next to lead the crew in a realistic world. They're all very experienced, seasoned veterans with decades of training and experience on their backs.
Yet they're not even close. Katakuri is 48 years old and would get oneshot by any Emperor, I mean Kaido oneshot the Luffy who had just beaten him. And that's either his prime or he's past it already.
Same for King, who has been with Kaido since they were very young, he's the last from an ancient overpowered race, and apparently YC is his limit, etc.. There's many characters like this.

I do wonder what makes them different from Kizaru, Kuzan and Akainu, who seem to be regular humans who simply lifted enough. Same for Fujitora or even GREENBULL who gets memed on the internet but he can end every character below God tier. No secret weapons or special race, Admirals just trained and reached that level that others will never attain despite putting as much effort.

One Piece vs Bleach... How do they scale? I'd always naturally assume Bleach characters are much more powerful because of being spirits in charge of protecting the universe, shaking reality with reiatsu and stuff...
But frankly at least early on their destructive power and speed doesn't seem that big, Chad as a regular human was grabbing telephone poles and bashing a hollow.
During the Soul Society they can slash concrete walls.. They do cut a couple of buildings in half in Ichigo vs Kenpachi, but that's something Zoro can do since Dressrosa.

My heart knows Bleach characters should be much more powerful but the feats simply aren't there, Zoro fights like a Captain level character by all accounts. At least by Soul Society saga standards. At some point though Bleach becomes closer to dbz with massive energy beams that threaten reality.
