If it includes the OG anime (so the entirety of the 519 chapters from the manga) all animated from scratch it would go over pretty well. THere are actually plenty of people who haven't seen Dragon Ball even if they sort of know how it goes. OG DB and Z are too long. Only Kai managed to be at a reasonable pace and Kai has issues.
Oh, and watching Dragon Ball as a whole is logistically a nightmare.

Hulu doesn't have the OG DB in English. It doesn't have Z at all. It has GT in sub. The version of Kai it has contains the shitty kikuchi replacement score.

Issues a remake would amend currently include:

Toriyama is dead and no one has earned the trust necessary to be his successor.

The series being impossible to watch/read logistically without piracy

I don't care at this point. I know Dragonball is an eternal cash cow and that's the fate of any big IPs in our world so in some form there will be new content dripping out for years ahead.
