Take Bokutachi wa Hanshoku wo Yameta for example. The siblings don't know each other until they meet as adults, which is when they start realizing they have a lot in common and eventually fall in love. But their relationship is not without a taboo, because they eventually learn the truth and have to deal with suddenly being put in that situation after they've already had steamy sibling sex. That's something you can only get in a setup like this. Obviously this kind of story can't show how their relationship developed over the years, the little moments they never shared growing up apart, but there are other places it can go, show the delphic kind of love from a perspective that you can only get this way - like the siblings talking about what their lives COULD have been like if they grew up together.
