The whole point is that in-universe characters have flawed, imperfect information and the "prophecy" itself is sketchy. Do you think PS agents would get prophecy updates on their fucking pagers, after which they would turn to face the camera and announce to readers that there's been a prophecy update? The event that would fulfill the prophecy either hasn't happened yet, probably because the fucking manga isn't finished, or already happened when shiga arrived, so any timelines remain guesswork at best.

The prophecy they are following is the Prophecy of Nostradamus, Yoshida's knowledge of the prophecy is given to him by the Death Devil, who Barem is the second in command of, so their knowledge granter is the same. Fujimoto made a mistake with his timeline, that is the most sensible explanation to me. This is wrong. In chapter 122 he brings up nostradamus' prophecy to her, specifically saying the KoT will descend. In ch 146, barem likewise says the KoT. In both 191 and 194, Yoshida says the death devil is coming in a month, not the KoT. The given dates are tied to different "actors Nostradamus expected and who they actually are," as you put it.

We've had multiple examples already of the prophecy being fallible or characters being flat-out wrong about prophecy-related shit:
