Hi, I’ve never used this site before and I’m in all honesty quite confused and a little overwhelmed.
I’m a graphic designer, in my early 20’s, but I’m autistic and I struggle with making friends (I’m also incredibly shy). Small talk and socializing by going to parties and all those other things people my age do just doesnt come naturally to me. I’ve tried, but I always feel like an outsider.
I’m moving to an art school that specializes in manga and webtoons in hopes of finding people like me.
Does anyone have any tips on how to make friends?

Thanks for the advice. I’m fairly good at masking as I spend most of my time doing it and I’ve gotten quite talented at surpressing meltdowns & shutdowns until I’m alone. It’s not ideal, but its the best way for me to seem normal to others. Sadly this leads to severe burnout, so I often find myself incredibly exhausted.
