>be me
>Working min wagie job I actually enjoyed
>Bad toxic manager comes in
>Started to hate it
>Met a person (random customer who happened to be a friend of a coworker) who offered a cleaning/laundry job in a nursing home on a casual basis.
>Decide to take up their offer and stepped back as a casual/on-call at my current job.
>Applied, did all the procedures but hadn't heard back from them in nearly a month
>Start picking up shifts at other stores with some old coworkers I used to work with.
>Remembered why I enjoyed this job again. Felt like a human again even though shifts are unstable
>Got a text from that customer who helped get the cleaning job saying they're waiting for me and had a list of 4 shifts.
>2 of them are clashing with my shifts at my current job

What should I do? I kind of don't want to do the cleaning job and was just seeking anything after working with the toxic manager for so many months. At least not do it for my main job/income.

Should I give them a call and at least try it out. I think that customer is worried I'm making them look bad since they vouched for me (and pretended I was related to them lol)

Should I even care about that?

No! I won't read stream of consciousness, blow-by-blow monologs. State your problem up front next time.

Why can’t you just tell the truth? If anything just work both jobs and make extra money, if they can’t accommodate for you that’s on them.

Offer to do the shifts you can do, or say life circumstances have changed and you apologize but you can't work there.

Yeah it's weird how they are expecting me to chase them up. I also did online learning modules etc during the onboard process which I wasn't paid for.

Would you say this is a red flag?

sign paperwork for the new job and give your two day's notice for the old one. The contract of trust has been broken, employers don't deserve two weeks anymore.
