can you really shower in public gyms or YMCA type places?
is that feasible?
do the staff stop you from doing that if they think you're homeless?
is disease/fungus common?

i'm weighing my options, and i'm wondering how feasible it would be to live in a car for like a year
i just wonder how to shower regularly without having any friends or support network

The hygiene stuff is surprisingly doable and much less of a problem than you'd assume. Eat well and don't get sick and you could manage for a year.

Being a slave to weather conditions, never having a secure place to be in "off mode" since cops and thugs can always always appear even in a safe place you have permission to be at, and total chronic destruction of sleep quality are what drive you insane. You have no idea at this point how much you are underestimating those factors.

Good luck

YMCA moreso than gyms. Also campgrounds.

You can't just walk in off the street, but if you use the gym you can shower after
