Choked my Dad, advice pls
So my parents were away on holiday for a week without me, which they generally don't do because they're pretty emotionally tied to me. They came back yesterday and this morning my Dad apparently was looking for his running shoes and passed by my room and saw my blanket was down. So he came in and loomed over me to tuck me back in, but I kinda half woke up, saw a silhouette over me, and screamed "UUAAUUGEUGHH" like an autist while reaching out at his throat. I heard something about "...it's me, it's me!?" and then actually fully woke up. I tried laughing it off but I feel like a retard because now my Dad seems to think I must've been scared or whatever while he was gone (I'm an adult </3) and blames himself for leaving without me. What do.

Yeah my parents are the overly affectionate kind. I live with them and my two younger siblings so it must've seemed natural

Thats an easy fix, im pretty sure your dad taught you the you unload to make sure method, then explain to him you thought you where alone in the house. Your dad needs to grasp that you aren't a little kid, (mind you to me anyone under 30 still lacks some sense a lot of the time) But if your dad never taught you that most things in this world that are man made can be broken by man hands, so you have to learn to temper your brute straigth. And yeah, he should come to terms with the idea that his son can now IN FACT kick his ass. But doesnt, kind'a in the same way women have to Find out that they aren't stronger than men, older men have to grasp that some day, they WILL be weaker than their sons, and if he did a good job with you, you will be strong enough to hold up everything he built up for you.

I'm moreso worried he thinks the opposite, that I'm still too vulnerable to be an adult on my own because I panicked with no actual threat in sight
