"Honestly" instead of honestly means like how you don't answer the question "How are you doing?" fully and completely.

Longer Millennial explanation:
There's this FTM guy I've been talking to a lot recently who...just presents female so goddam hard (watches crime dramas, talks about emotions and therapy all the time, does gardening and sewing, is 4'x" tall, hips wider than shoulders, etc.). They've been really trying to get me to talk about "my emotional past" or whatever (just a lot of probing question), and I just got this paranoid guy on my shoulder thinking, "This is going to be used against you--don't tell them anything." But when I think about it logically, they've not done anything bad to me, they've been really friendly and opened up a lot on their side. But I can't help but think, "Is this that female shit again where they pretend to get to you open up only to viciously use that shit against you?" So yeah, when do you know you can trust a woman enough to not pull that shit?

Immediately. If you are honest with someone from the beginning and they don't react the way you want them to then you immediately know you aren't compatible. Simple. Saves loads of time. Why would you wait weeks or months waiting to see if someone is emotionally supportive the way you want them to be? Be your honest and upfront self from the start, always. You really have to ask yourself why you would behave any other way. Isn't the goal in dating to find someone you truly be compatible with? If you don't trust someone enough to be honest with them then you have no business even attempting a relationship of any kind.

Well, the theory still stands. If you find yourself not trusting someone you only have to discern whether or not its because they're done something to warrant not trusting them or if its an internal experience that you need to work out on your own. As I said, if you don't trust someone enough to be honest with them then I don't see the point in developing any kind of relationship past just acquaintances - not until you can figure out where the distrust is coming from.

I have no doubt this is genuine, and they really do want to hear about your emotional past. I also have no doubt that they will tell everything you say to their friends. Not all at once, not to the same friend, but everything you say to them will eventually come out. They're a man now, but they were raised as a woman, and that's what women do. Hard habit to shake. So only tell them things you're comfortable with your entire friend group eventually learning.

I learnt the hard way about trusting women with your feelings from my mother. She would use them against me. It ruined me until I met a hooker I hit it off with for a little bit. One of the niced people I have ever met. She went back and she's a landlord now.
