What kind of productivity are you thinking?
Are you financially set and not a leech on others?
Body status?
Home/community improvement is good.
Volunteering for habitat for humanity or like groups is good for still staying active and learning skills.
Generally just work on improvement of body and mind.

#1 is making sure are financially independent for life. If you've done that, great.
Exercise. Do anything with activity that gets you in the sun. Walks in the park, anything.
Communication with other people. A job, a local club, volunteering, something.

If you want to be productive so bad might I suggest making some money while you do it.

i'm also a neet and one of the best things i've done to improve myself has been getting into martial arts. i'm doing taekwondo itf and i train by myself every now and then at home, and my overall condition, mental and physical, has been improving nicely. one of the best things of eastern martial arts is their philosophies, which teach you a lot about life, something very useful when you don't know what to do with it.

another thing i do, though before i became a neet, is music, so if you want get into it as well! or any art, what matters is that you enjoy creating. for me it's really fun to play bass and make stuff in a daw

The pic you sent is Kendo though, not Taekwondo
I also used to do Taekwondo, it's very based, even if people say it's not the strongest martial art (I disagree with them anyway).
Unfortunately though, one day I just didn't want to do it anymore. It gets very repetitive and the environment wasn't very inspiring either, mostly older folks or kids. Is that the same for you?
But I may go back, just for the kicks of it. Currently doing the gym though and I'm too autistic to do multiple hobbies at once though.
Not OP btw

You could ask a job center if they can find/tailor you a part-time job, 1 or 2 or 3 days a week (but request that they be concurrent days so you won't have work on your mind throughout the week). You might find that the job activates your mind in a good way and makes you feel better.

You may be able to take advantage of numerous free gym trials which you can terminate before you are ever billed. Spending 1-2 hours at the gym 1-3 times a week, with bench presses, seated pulldowns, and a leg press machine, will make you feel great.

Do not get suckered into grinds in online games. Most grindy games are designed so that you can either grind for 40-400 hours to be stronger, or achieve the same instantly with a 40 dollar payment. I say choose the payment or drop the game.

Watch your minerals and vitamins, and your omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acid intake.
The biggest mistake I made as a NEET was to eat foods that were more sugary than I knew, and that combined with a strong vitamin D deficiency, seems to have caused my pancreas some chronic damage. The doctor insists I don't have diabetes, but I can barely eat bread anymore because of all the side-effects it causes me, like extreme drowsiness.

My post is a little shittily and hastily written, but I thank you for the opportunity to advise you. I should have made a thread like yours when I was deep into NEETing in 2016.

>Is that the same for you?

fortunately, no. my classes are mostly with people my age or around it, there are a few kids and elders but they come every now and then. i'd suggest you to check others dojangs, maybe you were unlucky.

>Currently doing the gym

that's good! though be careful with dumbbells, since in taekwondo you need a lot of flexibility

>i'd suggest you to check others dojangs
Yeah There are some other dojangs around, maybe I'll go back there again, who knows.
Which belt do you have? I only get until the green belt lol
>though be careful with dumbbells, in taekwondo you need a lot of flexibility
Yeah which is why I want to avoid mixing them lmao. I prefer looking jacked over looking though. The former actually lowers the chance of some idiot wanting to attack me, while the latter would just prove those idiots wrong for messig with me. So the gym is like a good prevention and gives other perks too such as swagger in walking and people automatically respect me more lol, dumb primitive apes. I'm still the same person!

>Which belt do you have?

i'm still a white belt lol, i started a few months ago, though my instructor said i was ready for the exam, so i hope i do well and get the yellow tip.

>I prefer looking jacked over looking though

wouldn't that be a two edged sword? because if you do get in a fight and you're simply big muscles then all you'd be able to do would be to try to wrestle without knowing how to

>swagger in walking and people automatically respect me more lol, dumb primitive apes

remember humbleness is one of the main principles in eastern martial arts, if you think like that then maybe taekwondo isn't for you. try kickboxing or something like that, besides it'd be compatible with going to the gym since you wouldn't need as much flexibility.

Over looking SKINNY
Sorry, my dyslexia is acting out.
Yeah, I might not have the same battle prowess as someone who's constantly fighting, but the chances of a fight starting at all gets reduced too. Besides, I still have those moves in my nervous system. It's like riding a bike, you don't just "forget". Except for those stupid dance moves, the forms I mean. Dangun and whatever.
>try kickboxing
Nah, I already tried that and I'm way better in Taekwondo, even if you think I'm not worthy of it. I also don't really think I'd lose my flexibility just for gaining more muscle, unless I take roids or whatever, idk. It's different for each person anyway, idk.

>Over looking SKINNY

oh, well either way, same thing

>but the chances of a fight starting at all gets reduced too

dunno about this, sounds like you're getting overconfident, which is dangerous

>I still have those moves in my nervous system

sure, but practicing them constantly would let you win a fight more easily and with less chance of injury.

>Except for those stupid dance moves, the forms I mean. Dangun and whatever.

see, this is what i mean. if you don't care about them that's fine, i'm not judging you or whatever, but most eastern (except stuff from thailand and around) feature these tyoe of things, like forms or philosophy. if you don't like them then you won't really enjoy the martial art, since forms get more complex the further the belt.

>even if you think I'm not worthy of it

not at all what i said! i simply suggested you to leave it since you don't sound to be much into its core sthings, forms and philosophy, after all i'm just a white belt who's obsessed with taekwondo (yes, i'm reading the encyclopedia and watching videos every day). maybe tell an instructor about how you feel and maybe he'll be able to give you better advice.

>I also don't really think I'd lose my flexibility just for gaining more muscle

the thing is dumbbells let you gain a lot of muscle, unlike calisthenics or other forms of training, which are more focused on your overall strength, and at the end you'll flexibility will be affected

But I DO know about this and people are actually paying me more respect now, believe it or not. Stop denying the power of the gym gainz.
>practicing them constantly would let you win a fight more easily and with less chance of injury.
Who knows
> like forms or philosophy. if you don't like them then you won't really enjoy the martial art, since forms get more complex the further the belt.
Dude, you're only a white belt, everything is new and exciting to you now, you'll se what I mean when you're doing the forms for the 300th time. Unless you actually do like doing them forever. And yes, I do like the philosophy, just not the monotonousness, I guess. Idk. I still don't really know why I left but doing the gym is better I feel. For me personally, in my opinion.
>maybe tell an instructor about how you feel and maybe he'll be able to give you better advice.
I've never done that, I just assumed they didn't care about my feelings. Maybe I was right
>at the end you'll flexibility will be affected
I don't only do dumbbells though
