Digging their heads into my comforter while sneezing and pawing at me. Yea, he's very quick up on the uptake. Took him maybe 15 minutes to learn stay, though 30 more after that to learn release funnily enough. Since they're working dogs as a breed, they're very treat motivated so they're always eager to earn them by doing tricks or learning. The real challenge is that he's smart enough to know when I do and don't have a treat in my hand, but you can work around that with picking up a treat after sometimes as well as non-food rewards like throwing a ball for him. They're big dog intelligence in smaller dog bodies, very friendly with everyone, and everyone loves to comment on him so he's a great way to icebreak with most women. They're not sprinters, so they're kinda slow relative to most other dogs by virtue of the short legs, but he'll happily do a two mile walk with me at a good walking pace since they're endurance dogs. Pembrokes, which are the orange tailless version you're probably thinking of when thinking of corgis are more outgoing and energetic, while my boy is a Cardigan which are a little more reserved and observational, but he still is very social if not much for cuddles.

A puppy is a serious commitment - even if you have the free time, you might not be prepared to put all that free time into a puppy. If that makes sense. And for the love of God, don't get a breed that is known for dog/people aggression (Rottweiler/GSD) if you haven't raised a dog before. Your local shelter might have a "used goods" dog that is actually chill and trained, plus you're going to know what you get that way. Just a thought.

This is different to dog breeds who have hanging lips, skin folds, oily coats, or longer fur, as those can lead to a different kind of bacterial smell from infections/rashes. If you don't bathe your dog and they go outdoors a lot, they are going to stink like the outdoors. No helping that.
As for shedding, that depends. Dogs with natural double coats tend to smell less if you bathe them, so their hair being all around your home doesn't exactly lead to dog stink everywhere. While dogs who shed less due to shaggy coats are going to smell bad if you don't regularly handle grooming.
Constant attention really depends on the dog, again. There are "cat-like" dogs like Sighthounds, Scenthounds, LGDs, Huskies, Chow Chows, Shibas (Asian Spitzes in general) who are more independent. But even those breeds are going to get separation anxiety if you leave them home alone for 12 hours a day. Dogs are naturally social and want to be with you/their pack.

Get a BYB "husky" mutt with a short coat then it basically keeps itself groomed (why do you never see shiba inus or malinois that look "ungroomed"? It's because their coat is short, dense, and double coated so it takes care of itself)
And then a husky (showline) will have a longer coat that doesn't repel dirt and debris as well
Dogs that have longer coats will naturally pick up dirt, burrs, foxtails, you name it and if you don't give their genitals a sanitary cut the coat will soak up urine/dingleberries over time

I got this weeb mattress to help with my sleep, which it does amazingly well. Most comfortable mattress Ive ever owned. My lower back pain went away day 2 of sleeping on it.

BUT it turns out it is also perfect as a shared bed with your dogs/cats. It's basically a doggie bed, but human sized. You could even get a king sized one.

Would highly recommend if you think a very firm mattress would help you or you want the best bed to chill with your pets. It provides enough cushion to make sleeping on the floor comfy, but not enough to take away the support provided by it. Suprisingly cozy setup.

I was using an 8x10 view camera with a 210mm lens from like 6 feet away. Look how shallow the DoF is at f25ish.
You prefocus and frame, load your film then have dog come over to pose then take the picture. There isn't enough time do it any other way. It's actually a miracle that picture is so perfectly in focus.

Actually, diffraction limits max scan resolution on large format, which means it's more about reducing grain size. For maximum scanning resolution, shoot 6x9 and use a <65mm lens at f5.6 to get literally any depth of field.

I finished up another incredible looking egg contact print today. When you hold the print up it looks like theres a floating egg coming off the page. More 3d pop than you could ever imagine.
