Yeah its confusing because having the same suffix implies that the conditions are similar when it's really only the results (celibacy, hence the "cel") that are the same while the mechanisms are completely different.
But the fact that femcels are technically opting into their status voluntarily (which is why they're not just incels) belies the deep-seeded dysfunctions that create the condition.
The femcel suffers form a malfunctioning selective instinct that is supposed to drive her to mate with the highest value male *who is actually available to her* but is so compromised by the co-morbid condition of narcissistic personality disorder that it misconstrues who is actually available and thus tells the woman to hold out for the partner that, in her mind, is actually out there but does not exist in reality. It's literally, unironically a delusion and also maladaptive since being so picky about a mate that you effectively render yourself sterile effectively reduces your biological fitness to zero.
These women are essentially ill. Telling them to be more realistic or to re-evaluate their options is like telling a schizo to just ignore the voices in their head. They will never grasp the reality of their situations because they quite literally live in a separate reality. Thus any attempts to ameliorate their conditions are pointless. Best to just leave them alone with their bitterness because there's no fixing it. They are broken on a fundamental level
