Who is Jefrey (with one F)?

He was found abandoned in some bushes filthy and covered in fleas late one night in mid-July 2024. He’s all grown up, and enjoys car rides, climbing trees, going to new places, and most of all, capybaras. Some believe him to be a goblin or gremlin. He was named after the Pixies song “Space (I Believe In)”.

Jefrey suffers from severe ear-ectile dysfunction.

Originally posted him here back in July 2024 seeking advice for potential health problems due to his folded ears, some /an/ons wanted more of him, and so now you’re stuck with him.

That’s hard to say, it really depends on his mood. It’s either sucking the capybara, chasing the other two cats around and raising hell, or getting fed these dried chicken snacks my wife buys for him. Runners up include chasing the laser around, fetching the ball, or curling up on my wife’s lap while driving.

I'd be afraid he wouldn't love it anymore. I asked AI what to do about that for you. Chatgpt said to smush the old capy and the new one together whenever he's not using it to try to transfer his scent onto the new one. That could take weeks but it seems like a good idea. That way, you can wash the old one when he's started to use the new one and repeat the process as needed

Today I left the door open after peeing in the middle of the night, and he came into my room and woke me up at 4am by licking my face. I can’t get mad at him for that but sometimes he’s a pain. He’s like a kid on Christmas morning trying to wake his parents up early.

Yeah he bites but not excessively. Usually when he’s excited or trying to tell you to stop touching him. We’ll probably end up throwing a cover over the sofa. They all want to but there’s a pecking order. If Jef is in the room he will start to wrestle with them until they leave. He basically won’t share the bed with the other cats unless there are no people in it. Usually we lock them all out of the room because they make too much trouble.

He’s already not as nimble or sturdy as the other big orange girl, he’s got kinda a limp noodle body due to him being a fold, like he can’t jump as high or land as easily on his feet.
