Ok /dog/, I want to get a dog. I am dead set on getting one and cost is no issue. The only problem is allergies as I am allergic to dog saliva which means "hypoallergenic" breeds don't work. Mine has always been extremely anxious, I don't know if something bad happened to her before we got her.
I've never had a dog like this, the rest were completely fine and good-tempered. I've gotten her to the point where she won't lose her shit at another dog from across the road (still have to cross to the other side) but it's taken years. It's embarrassing and I don't want to go outside anymore. I hate inconveniencing people.
Her obedience and training in every other area than this is genuinely great, but it's like nothing else exists when she's over her threshold. I don't know where I went wrong with her.

Staggered comb + slicker brush is a great combo for removing a blown coat and general maintenance. If your dog has long hair get a long tined slicker brush. Buy chris christenson if you want the best. Their line of sprays and shampoo/conditioners are also awesome.
I prefer it over those brushes that cut the hair as long as you maintain their coat. I never really understood furminator type brushes. Wont the poor boy go bald if eventually???

One of my dog keeps going after my other dog. He's not attacking the dog but he definitely is ignoring the other dogs signals to be left alone. Which causes the other dog to use rougher measures, which leads to the instigator getting multiple light bite wounds. I always tell the instigator to stop, but he looks at me then ignores me. Which require me get in between both of them and putting him a timeout. It's beginning to get tiring, and I have a feeling one day he's going to get himself fucked up by the other dog, because he simply for whatever fucking reason doesn't learn or listen.

I give my HVSKY a 1/2tsp of hydrated psyllium breakfast and lunch and haven't gotten a whiff of fish butt since. My dog got all his vaccinations etc. when he was a puppy and he's coming up on his booster for his bordetella. The caveat is that he isn't around other dogs, and he doesn't go to a groomer, because I do that myself. Is it really necessary to get his bordetella booster? He goes on walks and trail hikes with me but rarely do I see people with their dogs and if I do they don't interact at all.
I do however plan on having him get his rabies and parvo booster because I'm much more worried about him catching those than bordetella.
