It's not that i dont like dogs. I hate dog owners. They are the whiniest, most entitled and least responsible people to ever exist. They torture their "fur babies", keeping them in small apartments and shutting them off on the balcony, the dog going insane from loneliness and boredom as it screams it's lungs out, polluting the entire neighbourhood with its noise. When they do take the mutt outside, it's often completely untrained and unsecured - they barely keep it on a leash, maybe 1 in 100 has a muzzle, their stupid little brain randomly deciding that it should charge and try to maul people minding their own business as the owner of the "hecking pupper" performatively leads it around areas where dogs aren't even allowed, leaving them strewn with dog turds. I had twice been attacked by medium-sized dogs that were just unleashed on me as i was walking, both times the owner grabbing the dog and fleeing so i couldn't call the cops on them as i was trying to recover from the experience of their furry voodoo doll of neurosis trying to maul my leg from behind. There should be an examination you need to pass to prove you aren't a mentally retarded sociopath, and that you even have the means to keep the animal, before you are allowed to get one.

I try not to go places I know cats are but they keep jumping the fence and coming in my garden.
I found the best way to stop them doing this is to trap them under a pan and bang it repeatedly with an old croquet mallet. It normally takes a few goes before they avoid going to a place where bad things are going to happen to them. And for the more stubborn ones I have more convincing methods.

Ultimately, I'm not the one to blame, they wouldn't keep vising if they didn't enjoy me finding their limits.

That's my experience. I think it might actually be related to the introvert/extrovert dynamic you also tend to see at play her. Many dog people, not all, but many, are also vey extroverted.
