It is needless suffering, yes. The more you lool at old breeding standards the more you realize breeds were never pedigree, they were regulary outsourced to maintain bloodlines. It is only when you approach the 20th century where inbreeding becomes common practice.

If you breed any dog to a "working standard" you are actually just following old breeding guidelines. Most breeds prior to the 19th and 20th century had very generous tolerances in what physical characteristics was required to be classed as such. Mastiffs for instance had no restriction on colour and just had to be a large bodied dog, it being judged by weight or a tight short muzzle was never an actual consideration. Look into any breed and compare for yourself the characteristics described then and compare it to the breeding standards of today. Even Spitz have become malformed, pic rel is what Pomeranians used to look like.

Wait, you seriously don't know this? Anon, breeding standards were never as specific as what we have now. Dog health has gotten WORSE over the course of the 20th and 21st century with the introduction of modern breeding standards. Pic rel is what is known as a "Sussex Bulldog", it is a British Bulldog bred according to the old standards and descriptions prior to the 19th and 20th century. Despite being exactly to spec and way healthier than "modern British Bulldogs" it is not officially recognised despite existing for 50 years now as a breed because the industry around the "modern" breed want's to protect pre-existing breeders as well as established show lines that are heavily over valued in the stud market.

No. What you need to understand anon is that if you want to sell dogs and market them as "x" breed in any official capacity you need to have registered bloodlines to prove your dogs are "authentic". These bloodlines come from show bred dogs or at the very least dogs bred to conform to modern standards. So when said standards cause Border Collies to literally get dog AIDs or Dobermans to have hearts so big they explode they will trickle down into consumer marketplaces, not just the showroom.

Wouldn't you just be taking one inbred dog, breeding it with an outside dog from the bloodline and then just it would expend or use up just one dog or two dogs in the population every generation? They're not having a bunch of exponential amount of dogs breeding, are they? Not usre of how genepools work but there's retards among us but even if they are able to breed, there's plenty of healthy bloodlines in humanity. I imagine there's enough outside bloodlines that dogs are able to overcome this. Am I wrong?

If we are assuming the health problems do not come from the physical structure of the breed's body plan (i.e brachycephalic facial features, apple head, weak hip/joints ect ect) and entirely intrinsic genetic illness, in theory yes, but that is not how outbreeding works. If you take dog A who has genetic aids and you take dog B which is the same breed but without genetic aids and cross them, that does not cancel out the genetic aids, it's often still passed on and what you have done is actually taint a bloodline which didn't have genetic aids with one that has it. And again, this is assuming we are ignoring the intrinsic physical problems with how modern breeds are shaped. Even if you cure Chihuahuas of issues like CM/SM or Heart Disease, you are still going to get a dog that naturally forms holes in it's skull. You could make a Doberman free of Heart Hypertrophy but it will still slowly cripple itself over time due to its body weight on its joints. If you want to avoid those issues you would need to fundamentally alter the breeds and cut off bloodlines while breeding in lines of completely different breeds entirely.

In other words, you would need to breed them the same way you would with working dog types.

The most egregious part that I could discern without knowing shit and glancing at it was the end where it said the hind legs can't stand in parrallel lines away from each other and that parrallel way is the natural way it should walk.
