The fact that this app exists is concerning on multiple levels. Who thought it would be a good idea for women to have the ability to anonymously give their opinions about men? It's the complete exploitation of female social dynamics. Women are too incompetent to understand that opinions of other women are often deliberately misleading. The problem is that they're putting out "safety information" in anonymity with no verification system or burden of proof. Framing it as "safety information" treats all the slander as if it were true right out the door. In the US there are sites like whitepages. Essentially you can just look up anyone over the age of 18. It gives you their name, address, previous addresses, suspected family members, phone number, emails, age, and marital status. It also tells you who they live with. With other sites you're able to get information like criminal history.

This is why the Tea app is only available in the US. There's pretty much an easy way to get a fuck ton of information about somebody.

Not everyone knows about these sites, however. That's what makes it fine. The problem is...the Tea app gives this information to normies. When Karen from next door is able to easily get your phone number, there's a problem. She can harass you on multiple levels. She can call you, go to your address, contact your family members, write up false allegations under your profile, make fun of you, and deter others from interacting with you. Even more painful, Bulgarian also has a grammatical feature called "evidentiality" that I mentioned earlier.
This is where verbs are additionally changed according to how it is that you know the action in the sentence occured
There are 4 categories of evidentials:
The indicative (I know the action the verb describes took place because I saw it happen myself)
The inferential (I didn't see it happen, but I saw other evidence that convinces me that it happened)
The renarrative (somebody else told me it happened, and they witnessed it first hand)
The dubiative (somebody else told me it happened, and that person heard it from someone else, and so on)
So - in Bulgarian you cannot ever simply say "the man kicked the ball", or "the dog ate the bone".
You MUST modify the verb every time you speak to explain your source of knowledge
This makes writing fiction in Bulgarian weird... what form or the evidential should the narrator use???
But yeah, all of these features combined, you have hundreds of potential forms for each verb

I was a victim of stalking because of this app. Hooked up with a girl a couple times, a local state attorney, she knew it was just sex.
