so, here's your answer: go into radiology or radiation protection service (might be better suited for you). you learn about the standard model and to all nuclear professions it's common and mandatory to learn about radiation, shielding, exposure and dose. later ones are needed in the industry. everywhere where welds have to be checked with Co60 or stuff be sterilized there is also need for an operator and a safety guy.
