:( i think it can be a beautiful thing but it's always been something extremely warped, even in the past things like abuse and such were at an all time high, albeit it was framed much differently in comparison to now.
I stopped being a full on misandrist when it came to relationships as I realized that both sexes can be extremely trashy, crude, or just evil. Its less of a battle of the sexes thing and more like people vs flaws they don't want to fix or acknowledge.
What moment made you realize that you weren't the one for her? Or was it more of a pattern? I hope she didn't think it was her fault, I often carry that worry when I break things off with someone I really liked and try to genuinely reassure them that they didn't do anything wrong.
You can absolutely fulfill that dream in this life, you'd just have to seek out the more uncomfortable parts of you and stop them from festering. Don't give that issue to your next self.
I'd wait a thousand years for the thing I want while also pursuing it. I mean, I'm doing that right now, but still.
