Now, I have been to a few supposedly haunted locations in my life. But never with any equipment, and the only thing I felt was when I was in locations in the middle of nowhere and was fearful of running into a crackhead.

I did do the Winchester Mystery House tour and that place was weird, but that's due to the architectural choices. The séance room was cool as hell, had multiple different hallways that converged on it and had the way out hidden in a cupboard that was only openable from the outside.

Afraid of monsters is a horror game addon to the official base game half life. It's a pretty cool horror based shooter. It's about a guy who goes full blown psychosis and hallucinates about monsters that want to kill him. Now, because i'm decent at shooters, I tried to play the game on hard, but jesus did the developer fuck up in so many ways for hard to even be playable. You get more experienced as you play and then hard mode doesn't become too much on you; There are still bullshit surprises and other dumb kinks that can get to you as it did with me.

I'm listening to a podcast about the building of the Hoosac Tunnel and how it is supposedly haunted. Ut's like, yeah, everytime they had to blast through rock 4 people would die and it they kept accidentally setting fires and had nkthing set up to prevent the shafts they were digging from flooding in the rain and snow and the workers had to keep digging even during downpours so a bunch of folks kept drowning. God damn, they were like, accidents happen, and that's a promis.

Eh in this case it was poor development by the developers. The hitboxes aren't properly tightened so you can miss half the time, your primary flashlight drains batteries like holy hell on hard and you need it half the time, the maps collisions can sometimes be uptight making engagements absolutely brutal, enemies can take multiple shotgun blasts to the head (which is a sin for shotguns), annnnd the shotgun sucks to use. There's a lot more, however, I spoke of most of the prime issues in the game. I think the shotgun may not be entirely the developers fault. I think they used the pre-existing assets in half life, which, if that's the case, is going to really disappoint me once I get around to playing half life for the first time.

You mean goldeneye? That was basically my experience. I also never appreciated the endlessly spawning enemies on certain levels. I only ever finished the game on computer with mouse input.
